Guest Speaker: Heather Slickers of “Wet Your Plants” Succulents
Prior the meeting, Heather had set up planting stations at each table. Potting soil was provided as were many unique containers to be used at pots for the succulents. When the club members arrived, if they hadn’t brought a pot from home, they were directed to choose a container from the wide variety Heather had on display. The club meeting began with Angie Weber introducing our guest speaker.
Heather instructed the members to fill the bottom of the container with rocks (provided) for drainage and then add the soil. Heather answered questions about succulents and then encouraged the members to start planting. There were many types of succulents to choose from, ornate top dressings of colored pebbles and moss, and accessories such as ceramic mushrooms, polished rocks, glass beads, glitter balls, mini pumpkins and pinecones, floral & berries stems and picks, an array of Halloween & Christmas decorations, plus numerous miniature signs differing in shapes, colors, and sayings. It was an enjoyable evening for all who participated.
